Riley Rufus White

Riley Rufus is our little black dog, he is part Labrador and Whippet.  A strange combination for sure, but a beautiful lttle dog.  He has been my companion dog since we adopted him in the year 2000.  He has a bed beneath my desk, he is with me almost everywhere I go.  If I am sad, he is there to cheer me up and if I am laughing, he wants to have fun.  He is getting older and grouchy at the young pups in our household, but we still adore this little precious creature.

Living the Whole Life

I’ve taken some time to consider how to explain my heart when it come to my relationship with Chirst.  He is for me the only life to follow.  Simply, follow his footsteps.  What did he do in his lifetime here on earth?  He spent time with the Father in humbleness, in brokeness, coveting his time away from the world and having his intimate relationship with the Father.  He earnestly sought out leaders to teach to carry on the message of salvation, to do the work that was needed to continue the message throughout the world.  He spent time with families, talking to them, loving them, healing them.  He was not exclusive, he was inclusive.  His love was pure.   So pure was His love for us that He ultimately sacraficed His own life to free us from sin.

With the knowledge of how Christ lived his life and ultimately gave up his life, I have chosen to live my life for Him.

SPRING UNFOLDS

Springs tempestuous days have begun

Sowing its seeds in the loam, impregnating with opulence

Churning the hidden treasures beneath the sod

Bringing color to the colorless

Welcome are the rainbows promised from old

As the deluge pours upon planted life, bedewing the cradle

Removed are the pillows of winter white

While the recurrence of nature begins anew

The sun makes it’s dramatic emergence,

Winking through the clouds, stirring the colors

Bursting through the inextricable sod, seeds give birth

Announcing that Spring is ready to come forth

Moments in time burgeon lucent bulbs

Birds give flight to fledglings, cocoons issue splendor

Trees unfurl eager tendrills, reinforcing winters quietus

Making way for the blossoms to bestow their bounty in fruit.

Triumphantly Spring has made her appearance

Engulfing the warmth from the suns rays upon its landscape

Changing the world from long dreary days to oppulant ones

Spring unfolds in glittering light brilliant colors and new life.

Reality Shows

Yikes, they’re so addictable.  I think my new favorite is Gone Country.  I am still trying to imagine Dee Snyder or Bobby Brown really making a country album.

Going Green

Yep, we’re going green.  We already recycle.  That’s good. Next we are going to try solar eneregy.
