Willoughby, the golden lab.

Just before Christmas this year, a puppy by the name of Willoughby came to live with our family.  Rachel, Emily and I found this charming fellow at the pound.  We had to wait a few days to see if his former family would come to pick him up and in the meantime he caught the dreaded kennel cough.  So he had to sit in quarentine a few more days.  Before we can actually take an animal home from the pound it must be spayed or neutered.  We finally were able to pick him up from the Animal Hospital a couple hours after his surgery and brought him home.  Once we got him to our house, we took him out to the yard.  Not thinking anything about a lab and water we did not block off the pool area and sure enough, just after his surgery he jumped in and took a swim.  I was so worried I asked Rachel to jump in a get him out.  She looked at me as if I were crazy and coaxed him out. Smart girl.  That was my sign – Willoughby was bound to be full of comedy!
